John Gerrard (b. Dublin, 1974), an Irish artist from Viennauses Realtime 3-D, game design software with his photography to creat scenes in real time that show the passing of the day. His landscapes include farms and oil fields in which the central theme is the impact of man on the environment. On March 18 at 7p.m. Gerrard will hold a “Meet the Artist” at the HIrschorn Museum and in addition, a three-day colloquium with others in the field about the difficulties surrounding film and related video and digital arts.
